Yangtze

The Yangtze, known as the Chang Jiang in China, is Asia’s longest river. It rises on the Tibetan Plateau and flows over 6,300 km through the Three Gorges Dam and into the East China Sea. The South-North Water Diversion Project could divert 17 billion cubic metres of water a year from the headwaters of the Yangtze River to the Yellow River when finished.
