  • Indus Basin Initiative

    This is an ICIMOD initiative which aims to support detailed monitoring of snow, ice and water resources; build capacity; and develop water availability scenarios. Initially focused on Pakistan and Afghanistan, China and India are to be brought into the project later.

  • Atmospheric Brown Clouds Asia Project

    September 23, 2011 ICIMOD and UNEP are both participating in this project and manage two climate observatories in Nepal. It may expand its efforts in gathering and disseminating black carbon research and knowledge

  • South Asian Association For Regional Cooperation

But the organisation remains relatively weak, with little autonomous capacity to act.

  • Asia-Pacific Water Forum
